Have fun storming the castle!

There are so many great lines in The Princess Bride, but one which has extra meaning is when Miracle Max says, "Have fun storming the castle!"

The extra fun is that 'storming the castle' is a structural turning point in the three act model. You'll see this in movies and books all the time. It's either a literal storming of the castle (like The Princess Bride) or the good guys attack the baddies' stronghold (every James Bond film ever). Or it could be a figurative storming of the castle, like in a romance, when the girl realises she has to win the guy, because he is the only guy in the world for her and they are MADE for each other.

Which brings me to recommending this wonderful book for writers, Save The Cat! by Blake Snyder. Yes, it's written for screenplays, but it's all about STORY. And now you can even get an app for it, which boggles me, it really does.

Or, if you just want to read an hilariously awesome book, which is a story within a story (like a dweam wivvin a dweam) then get this book and get comfy.
